Conduct research on the integration of rapidly growing Latino communities in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Current United Christian Ministries, Alexandria, Virginia Perform research on the culture of homeless individuals and families in the midst of a generally high income and densely populated suburban area of the nation’s capital. Develop baseline statistical data. Advise and counsel the organization on appropriateness and efficacy of programs to serve the homeless population. 1982-92 Amazon, Columbia Conducted extensive field investigation among the Yucuna natives in the Colombian Amazon region. This investigation encompassed Yucuna mythology, cosmology, initiation ritual, and the native system of education. This fieldwork provided the research for doctoral dissertation and master’s thesis in anthropology. 1979-81 University of Lublin, Lublin, Poland Researched the agrarian beliefs of the farmers in the Kalinowka and Zabytow areas of Poland.
